Tim Healy, owner of Posie Peddler Florist in Saratoga, will demonstrate and help participants create their own grapevine wreaths in this hands-on workshop. There is a $20 material fee.
May 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm 'Designing Arrangements for SGC's 2025 Flower Show'
SGC members and NGC Master Judges Liz Gee and Carol English will demonstrate tips on how to construct some of the flower show designs.
June 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm ' Preparation of Medicinal Herbs for Health and Beauty'
Alexander Scrivo, a NYS licensed Esthetician, Nail Specialist and International CIDESCO Diplomat in Beauty Therapy, will show us how to use medicinal herbs to improve skin care.
July 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm 'Final Preparation for the SGC 2025 Standard Flower Show'
Flower Show Chairs Liz Gee and Carol English will share all the details and
information that club members need to create their displays and to prepare for 2025 SGC Flower Show.
August 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm 'Casting Leaves In Concrete'
Location: home of Diane Swartwout, 122 Mezera Rd., Schuylerville
SGC Member Annette Newcomb and her friend Kathy Dorman from the Lake George Community Garden Club will demonstrate how to cast leaves in concrete to be used as birdfeeders and other decorative garden accents. There is a $5.00 material fee.
September 10, 2025 at 11:00 am Field Trip - Tour of Schenectady Central Park Rose Garden

The program includes a group tour of the Schenectady County Cooperative extension facility, greenhouses and rose gardens located in Schenectady's Central Park. Carpooling is recommended.
October 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm 'Garlic in the Garden'
Sue Kowaleski of Lake Hill Farm in Argyle will demonstrate how to plant garlic before winter and explain the different types of garlic. Garlic will be available for purchase.
November 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm Field Trip - The Chapman House
348 Glen St., Glens Falls
The program, 'A Melon for Your Table: the Legacy of the Victorian Garden', will be a guided talk which explores the evolution of the Victorian Garden and how it has influenced current gardening methods. Carpooling is recommended.
December 10, 2025 at NOON Holiday Party and Gift Exchange
This fun event will once again be at the Wishing Well Restaurant located at 745 Saratoga Rd., Gansevoort.

January 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm 'Gardening Native: Incorporating Native Plants Into Your Graden'
Kate Brittenham, an ecological landscape designer, will discuss the essentials of ecological garden design principles and practices incorporating native plants.
February 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm 'Schuylerville Garden Club Through the Decades: 1980-present.'
SGC Vice-President Evelyn Rybaltowski and SGC Former President Leona Brownell will use a Power Point presentation to document the history of SGC from 1980 to present time. This is the continuation of their last program which documented SGC's history from 1938-1979.
March 11, 2026 at NOON Annual Covered Dish Winter Picnic Luncheon & Video
Each member will bring a dish to share. Please bring your own place setting and beverage. As a bonus,, there will be a video entitled 'Lunch In The Garden'.
